Led by Evan B Harris, Portland based Afterlife Revival is more than just a band. The group combine conceptual art and social practice, with music which fuses Beatle-esque psych country, with illustrative folk art, and stories based on Harris’s childhood.

Future Elevators – ‘Modern World’

Future Elevators is the new project of Michael Shackelford, following the breakup of his former band, The Grenadines. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Shackelford has collaborated with independent record label Communicating Vessels in the release of his new single, ‘Modern World’.

Daniel Zapata, originally from Bogota, Colombia, is now based in Miami, and is making a name for himself with his own music, and also by collaborating with and producing other Latin pop artists.

Room Full Of Strangers have found themselves compared to the likes of Mac Demarco and Modern Lovers’ Jonathan Richman, to The Dictators, and other proto and early punk bands. They’ve even been called a tougher DEVO – high praise indeed. Regardless of all this, Room Full Of Strangers are rock and roll all the way through to their bones – taking their approach to life as well as their music.

Jane N’ The Jungle – ‘Faded Stars’

Although bandmates Jordan White and Brian Dellis grew up together, the pair have diversely different musical backgrounds. White performed in choirs before gaining her degree in Musical Theatre, and learning to write and perform original songs at coffeehouses in Hollywood. Conversely, Dellis’s guitar riffs come from his membership of local punk rock bands.

He credits it as saving his life, rescuing him from both a painful relationship, and an academic life path that he found unfulfilling. Although he had no formal musical training, Elia nonetheless found solace in it, and sat on the beach with an iPad and an idea – and his musical career was born.
