Online Bingo Gaming And Pop: A Creative Combination

Being creative within the world of pop music means a constant search for inspiration. Being stuck with a mental block is always a problem that all artists have to face, so being open to something new is fundamental to our personal growth. Sometimes this inspiration can come from other music, other times from people or places, and, occasionally, it is born from avenues we wouldn’t traditionally expect.

Watch The Teaser Trailer For Netflix Original Series SPACE FORCE Starring Steve Carell

A decorated pilot with dreams of running the Air Force, four-star general Mark R. Naird (Steve Carell) is thrown for a loop when he finds himself tapped to lead the newly formed sixth branch of the US Armed Forces: Space Force. Skeptical but dedicated, Mark uproots his family and moves to a remote base in Colorado where he and a colourful team of scientists and “Spacemen” are tasked by the White House with getting American boots on the moon (again) in a hurry and achieving total space dominance. From co-creators Carell and Greg Daniels (The Office), SPACE FORCE is a new kind of workplace comedy, where the stakes are sky high and the ambitions even higher. John Malkovich, Lisa Kudrow, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O. Yang, Alex Sparrow and Don Lake also star. Howard Klein/3Arts (The Office) serves as executive producer, as well.

Alex Sparrow – ‘Let’s Stay Home Tonight’

It’s that time of year when we would ordinarily be gearing up to watch European music’s night of nights, The Eurovision Song Contest. Alex Sparrow competed for his native Russia in the contest in 2011, when it was held in Dusseldorf, finishing in 16th position. There’s no Eurovision this year because of Covid-19, but there’s an Alex Sparrow song – the singer, composer, actor and producer, now based in Los Angeles, has released his most recent single, ‘Let’s Stay Home Tonight’, and although it’s no compensation for the Eurovision, it’s a fun song with an equally upbeat music video.

lotusbliss – ‘Carpet’

The music of lotusbliss, comprising brothers Seth, Josh, and Adam Gauton, from Canterbury, Kent, comes at you like a speeding train: unwavering, insistent, determinedly powerful. They grew up making music together, but formed as lotusbliss in 2018 while tossing around band names in a lighthearted conversation. Debut single, ‘Beautiful Monotone’, was released in November last year, while new single, ‘Carpet’, is the second and final release from their EP, ‘A Good Death Is A Beautiful Thing’.

Kailey Nicole – ‘Change My Ways’

Looking back on relationships we tend to see things not as they really happened, but rather as a series of memories. We don’t necessarily remember the truth of it, but we try hard to work out how to do it better next time. Nashville-based artist, Kailey Nicole, knows how it goes, and with her song, ‘Change My Ways’, and its accompanying video, she takes us through all the stages of lost love and what we all go through.

Reverse Mechanic – ‘Head In The Clouds’

‘Head In The Clouds’, from Reverse Mechanic, is a true love song, from a concept album, ‘Best Proposal Ever’, which is essentially a visual record of the culmination of the courtship of Joe Wistrcill (aka Reverse Mechanic), and his lady love, Angela.

The Dead Daisies – ‘Unspoken’

We have written about The Dead Daisies a number of times, so rather than spending more time on describing them here, we’ll refer you back to our previous articles about the band. Suffice to say, they’re a supergroup collective of ferocious rockers you’ll definitely have heard of, who have found a common groove and voice which draws on their experience in their classic bands, and they’ve extended it into even more fantastic music. One thing we do need to add however, is that the group, already superb, have added to their number the incredible bassist and singer, Glenn Hughes, known for his work with Trapeze, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple. With one of the most distinctive vocal styles in popular music, combining power with a legendary range, he is going to take The Dead Daisies even higher than they’ve gone before. Latest single, ‘Unspoken’, sees Hughes show us what he’s made of: and we’re not disappointed.

When Athletes Cross Over To Music

There are many examples of famous people having a case of the “grass is always greener” in their careers. Movie stars want to be musicians, athletes want to be musicians, there must just be something about the fabled lives of rock and pop stars that entices people to try their hand in the field. Athletes especially seem to have an interest in seeing if their talent carries over to music, and we have seen a lot of athletes try over the years. Here are a few examples of athletes breaking out into the music industry.
