Kristy Chmura – ‘Nothing’s Right’

Kristy Chmura, from New Jersey, is an acclaimed and respected figure, and has performed on the harp as part of a trio (Double-Breasted, with a cellist and drummer), as a duo (duel harpists, Harp And Soul), and is now branching out on her own. her debut solo album, ‘Stained…Glass Heart’ features the same inspired songwriting and pop-rock arrangements that have been her signature, and the latest single, Nothing’s Right’, is an emotionally bared track with a dark undercurrent running through it.

Arisen From Nothing – ‘Chaos’

Based in Seattle, Arisen From Nothing catch the listener’s attenion with their lethal brand of metal. The five-piece band is led by Jessie Bringham, with Troy Elmore and Steve Pontius on guitars, Eric Hanson on bass, and Brandon Fuller, who was previously a member of Ghost Town Rebellion, on drums. Arisen From Nothing’s album, ‘Broken’, is released through Montreal label, Collective Wave Records, and they’ve led off with the raw and stirring single, ‘Chaos’.

GV – ‘Tunnelz”

Brooklyn hip-hop artist GV is a man on a mission. His initials stand for “God’s Voice”, and he means to make a statement with his music, with his two most recent singles, ‘Exhale’, and ‘Another Hit’, coming out of nowhere and knocking people off their feet. His nw single, ‘Tunnelz’, with a compelling music video, seems sure to follow the others, and may well be is breakthrough as the voice of change in hip-hop.

Percolator – ‘Sestra’

Percolator, based in Dublin, Ireland, are a three piece group formed in 2009. With influences drawn from such diverse sounds as Krautrock, shoegaze, avant garde, experimental and prog rock, Percolator released their debut album, ‘Sestra’, in April this year. It’s out through Penske-Recordings, a Cork-based independent label which has also released albums from the likes of up and coming Irish bands including The Altered Hours and Magic Pockets.
