Fellow Robot – ‘Don’t Deny Me’

Southern California based indie group Fellow Robot started out as an idea brewing in the mind of frontman Anthony Pedroza, who a few years ago began writing the sci-fi novel, ‘The Robot’s Guide To Music’ while dealing with personal troubles. The concept albums for this project, The Robot’s Guide to Music Vol. 1 (2018) and Vol. 2 (set to release April 24 through Donut Sounds Record Co), are co-literary companions to the book. The band itself plays the role of the 140-year-old robot and main character of the book. Each official release is meant to build on and complement the story of the previous one.

LA Based MeYA Release Eurovision Australia Considered Single ‘Just A Body’ March 17

MeYA is an electric pop duo comprising Mena Lovin and Yasmin Staub, originally from Melbourne, and Perth, Australia, who met on a film set in LA. The pair started MeYA in the summer of 2015, and their latest single, ‘Just A Body’, is the third release from their debut EP, ‘Body Parts’. It was one of 700 songs entered for consideration as Australia’s entry in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Hybrid – ‘Hold Your Breath’

UK band Hybrid have been making music for movies throughout their two decade career, scoring more than 20 films, including ‘Vice’, ‘Domino’, and ‘Billionaire Ransom’. It should therefore come as no surprise that they understand how to use music to amplify their storytelling, and match sound with visuals. They’ve certainly put this experience to the test for the deeply immersive clip to their latest single, ‘Hold Your Breath’, which plays like a Hollywood blockbuster for a massive eight minutes.
