Brad Armstrong – ‘Fishing Pole’ (ft Maria Taylor) From Upcoming Album ‘I Got No Place Remembers Me’

‘Fishing Pole’ is a gorgeously languorous introduction to a man whose musical history is long and glorious. The main songwriter and producer of band 13ghosts (self-described as “critically successful and financially disasterous”) Brad Armstrong was approached by his record company, Cornelius Chapel Records, to re-issue his 2016 debut solo album, the sublime ‘Empire’ on vinyl. Having been working on some new material, Armstrong suggests they might want to also release his new album, ‘I Got No Place Remembers Me’ – they agreed.

Brian May Joins Rock Act Five Finger Death Punch For New Country Single – ‘Blue On Black’

The multi-platinum rock group FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has teamed up with the legendary BRIAN MAY of QUEEN and two of the biggest names in country and blues rock, BRANTLEY GILBERT and KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD to record a special version of the song ‘Blue On Black’ mixed by Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Shania Twain, Disturbed). Titans in each of their respective genres, the artists came together to merge country and mainstream rock to re-create the classic song originally recorded and co-written by Shepherd. Taking Country Rock to the next level, ‘Blue On Black’ is out now worldwide via Prospect Park (North America) and Eleven Seven Music (ex. North America). The song is available HERE and the artists also premiered an official music video for ‘Blue On Black’ showing the creation of the song.

Greg Antista and The Lonely Streets – ‘Goodnight Ramona’

Greg Antista has been a face in the California punk scene for the better part of three decades, having played with the late Steve Soto, in Joyride, whose 1992 debut set, ‘Johnny Bravo’, is a landmark in that state’s punkpop scene. He’s toured Europe, including Rebellion Festival in the UK with Foxy, another fun and exciting punk band. Now he’s got his own group, The Lonely Streets, who will be releasing their debut album, ‘Shake, Stomp and Stumble’, produced by Paul Miner, in May this year. First drop from the album is the brisk and hooky, ‘Goodnight Ramona’.

Demola – ‘Light Up’ f/ Wande Coal

Nigerian artist Demola isn’t afraid to do things differently and to mix it up when it comes to his music. Although his usual style is Afrobeat, for his latest single, ‘Light Up’, the unmistakeable sound of a violin turns up mere seconds into the track. It shouldn’t work: the rhythm is a full on bounce, buoyant and packed full of sunshine; the violin is breezy, and cool – like a walk through a forest. It shouldn’t work – but somehow – it does.
