The Shires, Our Number One Country Act, Play Live This Weekend In An Exclusive Streamed Gig Via Stabal.com

The Shires are probably our most successful Country artists and just before lockdown last March, they released album number four ‘Good Years’ but had to put their tour on hold. The tour has been put back to 2022 but they are going to treat their fans, and hopefully some new fans, to an exclusive live gig to be streamed on Saturday, April 10th via Stabal. Culture Club frontman Boy George, Pretty Reckless bandleader Taylor Momsen, Award-winning comedian and After Life star Ricky Gervais, and Ground Control supergroup with Dave Navarro(Jane’s Addiction), Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), and Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) and six-time Ivor Novello Award winner Gary Barlow (Take That) will take the virtual stage for “A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day!”, the global streaming concert bringing together a dazzling array of artists who worked with David Bowie or who were inspired and influenced by his work — for a celebration of what would have been his 74th birthday and the weekend of the fifth anniversary of his passing. Presented by Mike Garson, David Bowie’s longest-standing band member, the concert will stream on January 8 beginning at 6pm PT.

Cornbury Festival Announce They Will Go Ahead As A Fully Socially Distanced Festival In 2021.

Cornbury Festival have confirmed that they will go ahead as a socially distanced festival 9-11  July 2021, unless pandemic restrictions are eased, and the festival will adhere to all government guidelines to make the outdoor summer event Covid safe. Things that could be in place, include one way systems, seated audience viewing, masks, extra cleaning and hand sanitising stations, additional boutique dining and waiter(ess) service at bars and food concessions, along with clean camping and pre-booked camping plots within 2 metre spacing.
