Legendary Singer Alison Limerick Announces London Show At Islington Assembly Hall On May 8th

Legendary British singer Alison Limerick is returning to London for a special show at Islington Assembly Hall On May 8th. Hosting a vibrant performance with her full band, ‘Come On In’ arrives ahead of Limerick’s brand new album, ‘SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW,’ celebrating her incredible 35 years as an enduring and dynamic voice in British music.

Following a mass resurgence of her 1990s dance classic ‘Where Love Lives’ in last year’s John Lewis Christmas Advert, Limerick recently released the emotive and instantly timeless single ‘Sista, Mother, Child’ – a touching tribute to her mother and a first glimpse into ‘SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW.’ Stepping away from her signature dance sound and revealing something more vulnerable and timeless, this anthology-style album is set to feature unheard tracks that highlight her distinct, genre-blending work.

‘Sista, Mother Child’ was recently performed by Limerick on BBC Radio 2’s Piano Session, highlighting the song’s heartfelt ode to enduring love. Powerful, expressive, and raw in emotion, the BBC Concert Orchestra’s accompaniment added grandeur and shone a light on the depth of Limerick’s unmistakable vocals.

With a heavy catalog of classic hits like ‘Make It On My Own (1992)’ dominating the dance charts throughout the 90s, a range of colourful, genre-blending studio albums, and diverse collaborations with the likes of This Mortal Coil and Frankie Knuckles, Limerick is an artist continually exceeding versatility – and now, she invites you to come on in and celebrate the music that has shaped her.

Tickets are available for ‘Come On In at London’s Islington Assembly Hall On May 8th now.
