With the award season in full swing, the UK’s biggest night of music, the BRITs 2023, is almost here. Airing on Sunday, February 12th, exclusively on ITV, it will be a magnificent night full of star performers, including, Stormzy, David Guetta, Lizzo, and Harry Styles.

The host of the 43rd edition of the ceremony is a British stand-up comedian, Mo Gilligan. Cosmis pop-rock trio Aliens Don’t Ring Door Bells, as the awards show attendees share their predictions.

Who is your favourite new act?

Right now we are listening to a lot of ‘Jukebox the Ghost’ a power pop band based in the US. The band is great and the singing and songwriting is of high quality.

What were your favourite songs of the year?

In 2022, these were among our favorites:

Cage: Billy Idol – sounding great these days

Wild Child: Black Keys

Ego Death: Polyphia – great musicians

Who do you wish was nominated this year?

This is such a hard question, because of the nominations already in place, without a doubt, The 1975; so glad they are in, such an awesome sound and just stunning live. If you ask us as artists and music lovers, who do we wish was nominated this year? Got to be Lewis Capaldi, even though he is nominated for the song of the year, he should be in the artist of the year. Have you watched his socials, funny guy.

What are your predictions for Breakthrough Act, Best Song and British Album?

Wet Leg, best New artist, hopefully they’ll see this and invite us for a holiday on the Isle of Wight (It’s where they are from), love Chaise Longe, great tune…Best song’ gotta be Lewis again, just loving his style, and story telling. Best British album.. The 1975 – Being Funny In A Foreign Language, all day long.

Is there anyone you would like to bump into at the BRITS?

Yes, David Guetta, we’d love to see how our French is after a few glasses of bubbly on the night.  Also, Lewis Capaldi, can you imagine? Or anyone or band with whom we have had the pleasure of gracing a stage with over the past 2 years.
