The rightwing ghost is wandering through Europe again – in Italy, Sweden, France, Poland, Hungary, and in Russia too of course – where the phrase “und so ist es immer noch” – on producer Tedeborg’s new single spoken by Niels Gordon – seems to fit better than anywhere else.
Where will it end? What is wrong with us?
With nods to electronica as well as krautrock and post-rock dystopias, Tedeborg dresses the zeitgeist in synths, Solina, vocoders, classic drum machines, and, just for good measure; a surprising bluesy piano treated by Alexander Sandstedt, who takes it further to a place where folk music must inevitably meet art music. Props to a polarized age that can lead us straight to hell or, of course, we have to believe, to a better place.
Meanwhile, in a courtyard on the city’s longest street, a band is playing. Don’t pass by, that very band could be the way out of your misery.
Don’t forget to take a dance step every now and then.
The artist, composer, and producer Tedeborg creates music of several different kinds in his studio in Sweden. His latest work SCHWEDEN DEUTSCHLAND EUROPA contains electronica, krautrock, and post-rock as well as a subtle element of blues – and the result is modern contemporary music. In the past, Tedeborg has, among other things, created interpretations of classic Swedish poetry with soundscapes borrowed from Joy Division and produced the internationally recognized world reggae project Babylon North.
