Multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has recently returned to the world of music with his bran-new single “Falling Up.” The stunning track is now available to stream on all major streaming platforms! The music video can also be found below.
“Falling Up” is filled to the brim with emotion, passion, and insanely relatable lyrics. Whilst it’s a rather emotional song, the instrumentation and tune behind the lyrics are ridiculously catchy. The powerful track focusses on feeling claustrophobic with the emotions that we are feeling. In a time where we are all being forced to stay away from people for our own safety, it isn’t difficult to have some sort of connection to the song.
When talking about the writing process, Dean Lewis says;
“I always thought I would be happy when I finished school or when I passed an exam, or I got a job or a promotion or if I went travelling and then I was like – ‘ooh, now I have a record deal, what if I have a big song? Then, I had a big song, and I was on the road for three years and when I stopped, I realised it had all passed me by and I was actually less present and more anxious and stressed than ever. I looked back on my life and at all of these points along the way and I realised that I’ve never felt any better, it’s always been onto the next thing, always moving.
The songwriter released his debut album “A Place We Knew” back in 2019. This record allowed him to go from virtually unknown, to a worldwide sensation. He has done tours all over the globe including a sold out tour in his home country Australia, and his USA tour. In that year alone, he performed a whopping 200 shows! He has also appeared on some of the biggest TV shows to date including Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The TODAY Show, Live with Kelly and Ryan, and Good Morning America. All this success has allowed him to accumulate a massive 4.8 billion streams!
It is good to see the Aussie star back in business. This is only the beginning of the next chapter for Dean Lewis. To keep up to date on future releases, be sure to follow Dean on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
