The Rising Are ‘Moving On’ With Only Six Weeks To Go Before UK Tour

Following on from their album, ‘Moving On’, as well as their recently released seasonal EP, ‘Christmas Brought You Here’, Belfast based trio The Rising will be performing four dates across the UK this February.

Kicking off in Glasgow on 18 February, The Rising will perform in Manchester, and Bristol, before rounding it off at London’s famous Water Rats venue, on 21 February. There is an additional date at The Belfast Barge, on Friday March 1.

Writing about the tour on their website, The Rising say,

We are extremely excited to get back across to mainland UK to showcase our new album ‘Moving On’ as a full band. Its been a little while from our previous UK Tour so can’t wait to get back and showcase our new music, but also the full band. We have done a lot of shows stripped back and acoustic due to budget restrictions on touring as an independent band. So it will be exciting for us to play as a full band.

We are also excited to announce that the tour aims to showcase other talent on the UK scene. We are keen to stress that we aren’t the biggest fans of the term ‘headline’ or ‘support’. So on this tour we will be presenting and showcasing three acts each night. These acts may or may not be in the same genre as ourselves, we just want to showcase new music. Stay tuned for announcements of these acts.
