The second show for Kishi Bashi’s European tour hit The Hope and Ruin in Brighton last night. The singer and multi-instrumentalist, who is back in Europe after a very successful American leg, performed songs from his latest album, ‘Omoiyari‘, as well as many tracks from his previous works, including a sublime violin-led cover of Talking Heads’, ’This Must Be the Place’.

Nashville based rock band The Criticals were formed in 2018 by Parker Forbes and Cole Shugart. Their music and live performances are noted for their high energy, and when you realise they get their inspiration from the likes of The Stone Roses, Janes Addiction, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, and The Libertines, you get maybe an inkling of what they sound like.

Los Angeles band Dirtycakes play Rock And Roll. And they play it LOUD. The group has a varied background, including world tours, political activism, and criminal records, but the band itself comes together in a union of Punk with a DIY ethic, to share the love and angst.
