Nightmare Air comprises Dave Dupuis, Swaan Miller, and Jimmy Lucido. The trio are based in Los Angeles and shred up the stage with guitars, drums, and “meticulously layered boy-girl harmonies”. Their studio albums are sublime, their stage performances even more so. Not quite shoegaze, not quite full blown rock, the band’s music is possibly best described as “shoegaze with a rocky edge”.
Lisa caught up with Dave and Jimmy ahead of their support performance for Gary Numan, at Dublin’s historic Olympia Theatre, and was very grateful to them for taking time out from unpacking the van and setting up for the show.
Both Dave and Jimmy are also vital members of Gary’s road crew, with Dave a well-known face at Numan VIP Meet and Greets in his role as Tour Manager.
Nightmare Air’s most recent album, ‘Fade Out’, was recorded at the famous Grouse Lodge studios in Ireland, and produced by Dave Dupuis and Doug Romanov. The nine track album is fast paced and furious, and is guaranteed to get you up and out of your chair. If you’re able to see Nightmare Air live, do so.
‘Fade Out’, was released on 2 March. You can find out more information about Nightmare Air from their official website, Twitter, and Facebook. ‘Fade Out’ is available from iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.
