Nahko’s most recent album, ‘My Name Is Bear‘ was released last year to critical acclaim, and is a collection of tracks from his formative years as an artist, and a prequel to his work with Medicine For The People. Now he’s set to release ‘Hamakua’ on April 13: a 3 track EP including acoustic versions of songs from the album; the title track ‘Hamakua‘, ‘Dragonfly‘, and ‘Be Here Now‘.
The release of the EP coincides with Nako’s European tour which sees him perform alongside singer/songwriter Trevor Hall. The tour kicks off at legendary Dublin venue Whelan’s, on April 18, then around Europe until the last gig on 29 April at Vega, Copenhagen. The tour includes 7 UK dates, with a performance on 23 April at London’s Omeara.
Nahko, a greatly accomplished pianist and guitarist, will bring to the show a different interpretation of both his new solo work, and that from his catalogue with Medicine For The People.
The London, Glastonbury, and Leeds shows were sold out, and so a matinee was added to Glastonbury (now also sold out). Additionally, due to demand, the Copenhagen and Stockholm venues were upgraded, with the Copenhagen show now sold out.
