Following the US and Australasian legs of his sold out world tour to over 75,000 fans, Adam Ant has saved the best for last and will be performing one final homecoming show as part of his ANTHEMS – The Singles Tour. The venue will be The Roundhouse, in London, on Thursday 21 December, with Hollywood rock’n’rollers Glam Skanks invited to return to the UK to open for his last show.
Adam has been wowing his fans globally performing his classic chart-topping singles, as well as rare gems, B sides, and personal favourites.
Adam has come a long way from his early London days as an underground, post-punk artist with a cult-like following – he quickly rose to become one of the most iconic artists of the 80s, and he’s still going strong, selling more than 40,000,000 singles over his career. Adam has released nine albums and had 25 chart topping singles – including 8 in the Top 40 in one week. His debut album, ‘Dirk Wears White Sox’ was the first number one in the UK way back in 1980, when the UK Independent Albums Chart made its debut.
The follow-up album, ‘Kings Of The Wild Frontier’, saw him launched onto the world stage, and spent twelve weeks on the number 1 spot in the UK, and awarded Best Album at the 1982 BRITs.
Adam Ant’s show includes an excellent five piece band, featuring two drummers, and is a roller coaster ride through the history of pop music over the past 40 years.
Support act Glam Skanks will bring their rock-drenched, glitter-rock set to the stage in support of their album, ‘Glitter City’, featuring their new single, ‘Karma’, the follow-up sequel to their first single ‘Bad Bitch’.
Tickets are available from The Roundhouse, www.BookingsDirect.com, 24hr Ticket Hotline at 0844 249 2222 and select authorised ticket agents.
