Singer songwriter DD Allen announces the release of his latest single, ‘Just Like The Old Days’. The song is taken from his new album, which is set for release early next year. ‘Just Like The Old Days’ will be available to purchase from all major media providers from October 28.
DD Allen first came to the attention of critics and fans back when he supported James Blunt in Bournemouth, as part of the Moon Landing’ tour in 2014. From that time he’s been working on his debut album, on which he’s teamed up with people like engineer Mike Spink, best known for his work with The 1975, and Jake Bugg; and Andrew Scheps, who’s worked with Adele, and Hozier. The album is yet to be titled but has been inspired by many great artists, including Bob Dylan – cited by Allen as his greatest influence. He’s honoured Dylan on the album by covering is song, ‘Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright’.
‘Just Like The Old Days’ is a melodic mix of guitar riffs and soulful harmonica, combined with Allen’s signature raw vocals. Both fans and critics alike have greeted the announcement of the release with much excitement, as Allen is known for his exceptional songwriting skills, and electrifying live performances.
