Notoriously known for its music scene, Manchester has once again struck musical gold. This time in the form of indie outfit The Rainband and their new single, ‘Storm’.
The hypnotic twisted undertones to this track captivate the listener taking you on an exploration adventure during its three minute running time. Dark, simplistic yet effortlessly haunting guitar lines are matched with ease by vocals from Martin Finnigan.
Taken from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Satellite Sunrise’, which is to be released on April 8th, this is the perfect taster of the material which can be expected from that release. It feels silky and elegant whilst completely effortless at the same time, a skill which many musicians are yet to succeed at.
Having received praise from the likes of Paolo Nutini and the Gallagher Brothers, The Rainband have already achieved spots in the top 10 UK Indie Singles Charts with ‘Rise Again’ and ‘Sirens’. 2016 looks set to be their most exciting year to date and we definitely can’t wait to see what happens!
Set for release on March 18th in conjunction with the release you can catch The Rainband on their UK tour throughout April, be sure to check out their Facebook, Official Website, SoundCloud and Twitter for further details.
We’re delighted to announce that The Rainband have been invited to open for Kaiser Chiefs.
Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson, a fan of the Manchester-based band, personally phoned vocalist Martin Finnigan to ask The Rainband to join the line up on Sunday July 3rd 2016 at Delamere Forest.
Both frontmen are known for their captivating and energetic live performances, making this one of the most exciting gigs of the summer. Wilson said
“As a band we’ve always loved to play outdoors, we’ve done fields, parks, farms, rooftops, beaches and back gardens, but this will be the first time we’ve played in a forest. If you go down to the woods this Summer, you’re sure of a big surprise. We’re really looking forward to being part of Forest Live.”
The event has already sold out but there is a waiting list for tickets here.
Italy love’s the rainband too!!
