ADMISSIºN – ‘Call And Rescue’

Admission 1

ADMISSIºN are an up and coming Dublin based band, made of four members originally from Derry, Liverpool, Sao Paulo and Sheffield.

Paul, Sean, Tom and Fernando have been putting in the hard yards, including rousing performances in The Workman’s Club, The Button Factory and Whelan’s supporting Neon Atlas. ADMISSIºN’s members have extensive experience in previous bands, and have their sights set high with this band.

Currently performing select dates around the Dublin area, the band just launched their debut single ‘Call And Rescue’, the release of which they celebrated with their first headline show at Dublin’s Opium Rooms on Saturday September 19th. This was also the band’s first birthday.

‘Call and Rescue’ was recorded with Mick Heffernan, who’s known for his work with The Script, Morrissey, and Gavin Friday, in Dublin’s famous Sun Studios.

The title track is raw and earthy, guitar driven and rocky, and reminds the listener of the Undertones, with its uptempo rhythms and powerful lyrics. This is followed by ‘Ascending’, a slower track which was recorded live in the studio, it’s thoroughly professional, and a true exhibition of the skills of this band. With bass underpinning and a thrumming beat making this a really well crafted song melodically, it’s also lyrically polished. The third and final track on the EP is an instrumental version of ‘Call And Rescue’, which works just as well as the vocal track.
