The High Plains Drifters ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ (Official Music Video)

In their latest single, ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’, the High Plains Drifters get right to the realest painful stuff. Evoking the likes of Depeche Mode, and The Smiths, lyrics such as “so since you’ve been gone, I lie and I say we’re still okay” are dark and visceral, and quite frankly, rather resonant.

The High Plains Drifters – ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’

The lyric video for ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’, the new single from NYC band The High Plains Drifters, focuses on an astronaut wandering around an abandoned space station. Although the song shares the title with the Rainbow rock song, and the name of the band sounds like they’d play country music, neither could be further from the truth – it’s a retro-synth pop track which harks back to the sounds of Erasure, Depeche Mode, and other classic UK electronic bands.
