Andrew King, the brainchild, heart and soul of Burning in The Skies, has just celebrated the release of his epic EP, “Caught In The Undertow.” With a Depeche Mode vibe, and a Linkin Park influence, the EP is already creating a global buzz. The eclectic music ranges from piano ballads too heavy guitar driven rock and synth propelled pop.
Joe Carnall has been a reluctant figurehead of the indie rock scene in his hometown of Sheffield for over a decade, with his band Milburn. Wanting to explore a different area, he set out with the help of close friend Matt Helders, himself no stranger to the music of Sheffield, as drummer, vocalist, songwriter, and founding member of Arctic Monkeys. The result – Good Cop Bad Cop, and the project’s self-titled, 11 track album, written by Carnall and produced by Helders.
Synth/dreamwave duo, From Apes to Angels, bring an 80s vibe to their music reminiscent of the likes of Depeche Mode, Visage, and Ultravox and more recent artists such as Chvrches and Grimes.
Comprising Millie Gaum on vocals and Andrew Brassleay on synth, From Apes To Angels are set to release their debut EP, ‘New Skin’, on July 24.
