The pale hordes who descend on Whitby for the biannual Goth Weekend may just have found the perfect soundtrack for their journey.
With esteemed Cocteau Twins/This Mortal Coil producer John Fryer at the controls, York-based duo Mary and the Ram have come up with a modernist take on coffin-rattlers like Bauhaus, Love and Rockets and The Sisters of Mercy.

Four piece post-punk new wave band, The Blue Wave Pavilion are started live performances back in June at the Brudenell Social Club, in their home-base of Leeds. Opening for All We Are, the band have gone on to do a headline show at Manchester’s Night & Day Café, as well as an opening slot for Himalayas at Leeds’ Lending Room, which also featured This Feeling.
