They say never meet your heroes. I’m not so sure about that. Lisa talked to one of her teenage inspirations, Janis Ian, ahead of the re-release of 5 of her classic albums, and her performance at the Cambridge Folk Fest this summer.

Janis Ian spoke for many teens during that awkward phase where we were more than a girl but not yet a woman with the anthemic, ‘Seventeen’, released as a single from her 1975 album, ‘Between The Lines’. This album and four others, ‘Stars’ (1974), ‘Aftertones’ (1975), ‘Miracle Row’ (1977), and ‘Night Rains’ (1979), have been re-mastered and will be re-issued on all formats from May 25.
