David Drake – ‘Touch the Burning Sky’

David Drake is an artist in every sense of the word, although he concentrates his talents on music. He approaches his songs as if they were paintings, with poetic imagery and lyrics taking the listener on a journey that transcends sound. ‘Touch The Burning Sky’, his latest single, paints a picture of wonder, amazement, and awe about the natural world, and with his words and music Drake commands as much soul and spirit as any colours committed to canvas.

KOTH – ‘My Time’

Quite a number of KOTH’s singles have garnered praise from esteemed publications, such as The Hype Magazine, and Elevator, and the Seattle artist has supported the likes of Slick Rick, Mobb Deep, and Mos Def, not to mention selling out The Crocodile in his home town, with TylerxCordy. Latest single, ‘My Time’, which is the first track from his upcoming set, ‘First Team’, is a banger of an anthem, with a relatable theme for anyone who’s chasing those dreams and catching them, making their moment – in their own time.

Nuria Releases Latest Single, ‘Touch’

Hailing from the Australian state of Tasmania, pop singer songwriter Nuria writes music about the human experience; her latest single, ‘Touch’, released July 31, took its inspiration from those feelings of longing that have been brought about by the enforced isolation of COVID-19 lockdown. The song was recorded in her caravan home studio, and with further production work by Dave Crowe (aka Resin Moon), based in Alice Springs, The Northern Territory.

Darren Jessee – ‘Cape Elizabeth’

It’s crazy to think we’re talking about albums set for release in October, but suddenly it’s August already, so here we are. Darren Jessee is probably best known for being the co-founder and drummer of Ben Folds Five, but he’s a solo performer as well, and his latest album, ‘Remover’, the follow up to 2018’s ‘The Jane, Room 217’, is set for release on October 16, through Bar/None Records. ‘Cape Elizabeth’, from the forthcoming album, came out on 31 July.
