Alphabeat are back! Best known for their hit singles, ‘Fascination’, and ‘10,000 Nights’, as well as their eponymous debut album, the Danish pop group from Silkeborg return from a six year hiatus with their new single, ‘Shadows’. Their fourth album is set for release later this year via Warner Music. Lisa caught up with the group after their recent appearance at SXSW and asked them six quick questions!
A BOI – aka the cleverly named Absolutely Bereft Of Imagination – is the latest project from Austin Texas artist, TaSzlin, better known as one third of the uncompromising social justice warrior trio, BLXPLTN. With A BOI he examins his more meditative side, and his latest track, ‘See Through’, is dreamily electronic, and altogether trippy.
Tritonal blends EDM and electro-pop, and have made a name for themselves in the electronic dance world, with their singles ‘Blackout’, ‘Hung Up’, ‘Strangers’, and ‘Good Thing’, and their mastering of remixes for legends such as Armin van Buuren and Rudimental, as well as Adam Lambert. They’ve also featured on ‘Untouchable’ with Cash Cash, and ‘Until You Were Gone’ with The Chainsmokers, and have had over 120 million Spotify streams. Their vocals and emotional buildup in their songs, not to mention their unexpected bass drops, have ensured the duo have become a massive name in festival lineups.
Last month we reviewed the brilliant self-titled debut by Austin based blues singer, Arkansas Dave. The artist, who has drawn comparisons to Chris Stapleton, Black Stone Cherry and Luke Combs, has been a long time coming with this album, having cut his teeth in dive bars and honky tonks in his home state of Arkansas, and in Texas, where he was given his nickname by band mates.
2017 has been a monumental year for Tritonal, from Austin, Texas. Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed took their act to major festivals worldwide, including Electric Zoo in New York City, and Chicago’s Lollapalooza. Their tracks ‘Blackout’, ‘Hung Up’, ‘Strangers’, and most recently, ‘Good Thing’ have seen success, and the same seems sure for their new single, ‘Call Me’.
