Music lovers are already deep in the whirlwind of this year’s festival season. On top of nationwide Jubilee celebrations, this weekend, people have gathered around for the annual LeeStock music festival held in Long Melford, Suffolk.
Looking through this year’s line-up before stepping inside the LeeStock area, wow, what a treat of a diverse selection of artists. In the memory of a local Lee Dunford, who passed away in 2006, the LeeStock crew assembled a jam-packed program that will please everyone.
The 2022 extravaganza kicked off on Friday with Ash as the headliner with a great mix of electric-influenced tunes by Ooberfuse and even indie-folk jam sessions with the Dunwells.
On Saturday, the mood did not deteriorate a slight bit. Thrilled attendees came ready for the second day of music, food, and a little outdoor boogie. Throughout the day, the crowds grooved along with pop artists such as Kris James and enjoyed a slowed-down set by Tom Sanderson.
For all the country enthusiasts, Nashville-based sibling duo Juna N Joey made an appearance with their signature twist on country music. Juna N Joey delivered a mix of original songs and covers of great country classics. They went with Parker McCollum’s ‘Why Indiana’ for the set opener, which came in with high energy.
Juna N Joey included performances of their original music, such as their previous singles ‘Something Good To Miss,’ ‘Boys In Boots,’ and an unreleased ‘More Than A Maybe’ due to be released on June 17th. Lucky LeeStock, we’ve got to hear an exclusive.
As the final show, Scouting For Girls closed down the two-day LeeStock experience with everyone’s favorite ‘She’S So Lovely.’
See you next year, LeeStock. It’s been lovely.
