With a title like ‘Infection’, listeners might think that the new Captains Of Entropy<\/a> single is going to be dark, cynical, or spooky. Instead, it’s a mellow, intoxicating salve, cool and calming. Irresistible.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

‘Infection’ serves to show the group settling into their groove, with their effervescent, glistening, jazz funk sounds, their identity clear and playful. The group bring together their cumulative decades of musical expertise, and combine it with the obvious chemistry they have as neighbourhood besties. In short, they come together in perfect harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the music video for ‘Infection’ the band called upon their long-time friend and filmmaker, Matthew Mourgides, who captures them in their element, performing in New Monkey Studios. It’s less of a formal recording, and more like a fly on the wall documenting of one of their jam sessions. Captains Of Entropy plug their instruments in and put their headphones on, and suddenly they are all lost in a sea of sounds. That’s not to say there’s not also laughter and smiles – making good music isn’t just work, but it’s also a lot of fun as well, and thankfully, fans, listeners, and viewers, can also be a part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
