The track takes a fun and light-hearted look at the ups and downs of life in the modern age, and turns it into a pop and OPM-infused anthem.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Released on the 19th of June via DPX Records Philippines, &#8216;Charot&#8217; is available to stream and download <a href=\"https:\/\/ditto.fm\/charot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bright and cheery with a catchy melody, the song draws its inspiration from the Filipino phrase, &#8220;charot lang pala&#8221;, which is often used to mean &#8220;just kidding&#8221;, while at the same time hinting that there&#8217;s some truth to the matter. Co-written with PEETEE X, the song came about from curiosity as to just how frequently the word is used in everyday conversation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capturing the feelings of hope, mixed signals, and the small disappointments to be encountered in romance, &#8216;Charot&#8217; turns heartbreak into humour, as it follows the path of getting your hopes up, when you think something sweet is about to happen, only to realise it was all just a joke.
