The National Film and Television School (NFTS)<\/a>\u00a0one of the world\u2019s leading training grounds for film, television and games education, today announces the launch of\u00a0The Bleeding Fingers Scholarship, a new funding initiative supporting students to join its prestigious Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Composing.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This empowering scholarship has been established in partnership with\u00a0Bleeding Fingers Music<\/a>, the multi-award-winning composer collective co-founded by\u00a0Hans Zimmer,\u00a0Steven Kofsky\u00a0and\u00a0Russell Emanuel.\u00a0Bleeding Fingers Music operates as a joint venture between the production music arm of Sony Music Publishing, Extreme Music and RCI Global. The scholarship represents a\u00a0steadfast\u00a0investment\u00a0in\u00a0nurturing the next generation of diverse and talented screen composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bleeding Fingers Scholarship\u00a0will support students across multiple cohorts of the two-year\u00a0Composing for Film and Television MFA<\/a>. A new scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding candidate, based on creative excellence, a clear commitment to a career in screen composing and financial need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previous alumni of the Composing MFA are in high demand internationally, working across independent and feature films, high-end television, commercials and numerous award- winning productions. Notable NFTS graduates include\u00a0Natalie Holt\u00a0(Loki),\u00a0Segun Akinola\u00a0(Doctor Who),\u00a0Nainita Desai\u00a0(For Sama),\u00a0Dario Marianelli\u00a0(Academy award winner for\u00a0Atonement),\u00a0Martin Phipps\u00a0(The Crown) and\u00a0Adiescar Chase\u00a0(Heartstopper).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aspiring Composers are encouraged to apply for The Bleeding Fingers Scholarship, which will provide financial support for the duration of their two years of training.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Eligible applicants offered a place on the Composing MFA will be invited to apply for funding, at which point they can indicate their interest in the scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
