Released on the 22nd of December last year, and accompanied by a stirring lyric video for the lead single, ‘Believe’, David Graham presents an anthemic approach to the power of perseverance with his debut album, ‘Insanity vs Reality’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In ‘Insanity vs Reality’, David Graham takes the spirit of defiance and pits it against doubt, and over the course of 11 songs covers such themes as battling adversity, embracing self-confidence, and refusing to surrender to even the harshest of life’s harshest blows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the tracks have been written from David Graham’s personal experience, and he inspires his listeners to power onwards, moving forward through life, pushing past the naysayers. Tracks such as ‘Believe’, with its stirring lyric video that can be watched below, standout for good reason. David Graham wrote it as a message to his younger self, urging him to find strength and courage through even the darkest of times, when severe injury to his wrist meant that he was unable to play musical instruments, and his struggles would have him give up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the acoustic track, ‘You Are Beautiful’, sees David draw from his own experiences of bullying at school, encouraging listeners to accept themselves for who they are, in the knowledge that their differences are what make them special. ‘You Can’t Hurt Me’ takes a global stance, facing hatred front on, and transforming negativity into power for good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Ocean Of Despair’ has a country vibe, as it recounts the pain and anguish of a lost love, while the title track, ‘Insanity’, had its origins in a poem where David explored how the true madness can be found in the denial of following one’s authentic path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Graham has always shown an interest in music, writing songs from a very young age, and starting to play guitar at the age of 18. In his 20s however he suffered injuries to his wrist, which were exacerbated in his 30s, and, during the Covid-19 pandemic, led to a total loss of hand function. However, he against all medical odds, he was able to regain partial use; unfortunately this did not include playing guitar or piano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of music, David Graham is a prolific writer, who started posting on Medium in 2020, and has 15,000 followers. Using voice dictation software, he explores such topics as comedy, history, science, popular culture, and fiction. His short story, ‘Terror on the Mind’, is available on Amazon Kindle, while his novel, ‘Scorched Earth: The Library of Power’, is coming soon. Additionally, David has modelled in the past, as well as performed as an extra on such television programmes as ‘George Gently’, and ‘Vera’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
