JJ Jeczalik, Paul Morley, Gary Langan, and Ian Peel will this Saturday, the18th of October, make their performance debut at London’s ICA as The Art Of This. Describing themselves as an “offshoot, descendant, and subset” of seminal electronic pioneers Art Of Noise, the performance will feature, “words, music, and images using the venue’s 360\u00b0 spatial sound system, d&b Soundscape”.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Standing tall as one of the most innovative forces in electronic music, The Art Of Noise reshaped sound and redefined what was able to be achieved by a studio collective. The group, who are renown as being the third most sampled artists in history – after James Brown, and Kraftwerk – has seen in recent years their music sampled by the likes of Dua Lipa, and Charlie XCX. Additionally, in September this year, their music was featured as the soundtrack for Prada’s Spring Summer 2026 collection launch, in Milan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three of the group’s founding members, Jeczalik, Langan and Morley performed together for the first time ever when The Art Of Noise appeared on The Tube, on Channel 4, back in 1984. Zoom forward 40 years and the second time was last year, as special guests of Thompson Twin\u2019s Tom Bailey, at\u00a0The O2. Following this reconnection, and being invited to record new works for BBC 6 Music’s, ‘The People’s Party’, and, with the addition of Ian Peel, the project was born – a brand new, “offshoot, descendant and subset” of The Art Of Noise – The Art Of This.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
