There’s a whole lot of dancing in the music video for ‘Until We Dance’, the latest release from The High Plains Drifters<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The High Plains Drifters have carved for themselves a niche like no other as they gently tread the line between mellow rock and breezy electro-pop, their sound a playful re-imagining of influences such as 80s New Wave. Lead vocalist Larry Studnicky drops pearls of wisdom into his lyrics that speak to the very soul of the listener, about relationships that have gone off-course, and yet, there is within them a note of hopefulness, that all is not lost. This carries through into their music videos as well, with their lighthearted dives into the trials and tribulations of romance, along with all the fun stuff that goes along with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New single, ‘Until We Dance’ sees Studnicky’s vocals convey the deep longing for connection we all experience, while at the same time daring to wonder if the object of our affections doesn’t feel the same way we do. With warm multi-layered synths, effervescent harmonies, and laid back percussion, ‘Until We Dance’ brings with it hope, and the feeling that all it would take is just one dance, and everything will be alright once again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘Until We Dance’ is a fun romp that could easily be part of a rom-com. A woman is getting ready for a night out, throwing her clothes everywhere, dancing the whole time – causing a wayward shoe to fly off, and leading her on a quest to find it. It’s a reverse Cinderella, and she’s out to find her Prince Charming, the shoe leading her into the houses of a range of people, including a woman knitting, and a man who ignores her while focusing on his laptop. It’s a little bit silly, but it’s a whole lot of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
