Released on the 2nd of May, ‘MAGISSA’ is the debut single from Greek artist, Mama Blue.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Electrifying from the very start, ‘MAGISSA’ takes the mysticism of the ancients and blends it with up to the minute electronic production, resulting in a track that will enrapture the listener, and activate the dark and divine feminine energy that dwells deep within. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While ‘MAGISSA’ is sung entirely in Greek, this doesn’t take away from the bewitching nature of the track in any way; rather, it shows that music was the first language, and speaks to humanity’s very soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing her inspiration from her roots in Smyrna, as well as the witches who are so steeped in the legends of that area, Mama Blue ensures that ‘MAGISSA’ is more a spell, or a ritual than just a song, and in the hands of producer Prodbydavii, it’s become an empowering message. Her vocals take on an ethereal quality, which is further highlighted by the hypnotic rhythms of the instrumentals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about ‘MAGISSA’, Mama Blue says,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t just a song. It\u2019s a portal. A frequency boost for all the witches, goddesses, and powerful femmes out there. This is for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born in Athens, with ancestral roots deep in Asia Minor, Mama Blue is the musical project of Kate, who blends pop sensibilities with rich and vibrant electronica. She has been inspired by the stories told by her grandmothers and other ancestors, the so-called “witches of Smyrna”, and consequently her music honours their legacy while telling their story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
