Congratulations\u00a0on your album, \u2018Waiting For The World To Turn\u2019! Can you talk us through the inspiration behind it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am constantly inspired by things that happen to me and stuff that\u2019s going on around me. I often write about what I am going through at the time. This album talks about my time in therapy, my break up, not taking life for granted and new older. As I\u2019ve matured as a songwriter I find I can only write songs about things I\u2019m Going through, it\u2019s a cathartic experience!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The albums consists of 14 tracks that explore an eclectic mix of rock, pop soul and indie. How did you fuse these genres to create a distinct sound throughout?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The albums consist of 14 tracks that explore an eclectic mix of rock, pop soul and indie. – How did you fuse these genres to create a distinct sound throughout? To be honest I just take each song as its own entity and produce it however is best for the song. I think the things that tie it together are my voice and my melody and lyric style!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What artists did you draw inspiration from? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teddy Swims, Coldplay, Bon Iver, Dua Lipa, Tom Walker, Lottery Winnersand Spotify new music Friday – I love discovering new artists and songs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve been supporting the legendary Will Young on his \u2018Light It Up\u2019 tour, showcasing your new material. What was your initial reaction to joining the star on the road, and what are you most looking forward to? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am loving the tour – going to new cities and towns everyday and playing these amazing theatres. Also getting the reaction from the fans afterwards is amazing! It\u2019s been a blast so far. Will is such a lovely guy as well!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Waiting For The World To Turn\u2019 features a powerful duet, ‘Another Sad Song’, featuring up-and-coming artist Livvy Lauren. What did you learn from this collaboration?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That power ballads are a genre that should never be forgotten and also that Livvy is a very talented singer and writer! I also learnt that sometimes it takes a few people and a few go\u2019s to make a song really stand out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Can you talk us through the album\u2019s creative process – what challenges did you face and  how did you overcome these? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The album has been written over the past year and I have to juggle music with having a day job as well so some days I didn\u2019t really feel like writing. I guess that\u2019s been the main challenge – when you feel uninspired or like you are repeating Yourself – I never want to do that! I\u2019ve been through enough stuff this past year To have things to write about thankfully.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Can you share any fond memories from the process?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Writing songs with all my friends was an amazing experience. I don\u2019t always get to hang out with these people so scheduling time In the diary to jam is such a blessing. One story sprints to mind. I was with Angus Parkin and he went to his fridge and he had some pineapple salsa that he\u2019d made the day before – it was our last day together so we wrote a song called Pineapple salsa – it\u2019s a bop.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Releasing an album can come with a lot of emotions – how do you approach maintaining your musical identity whilst exploring genres?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        I always write lyrics that are true to me and make sure I\u2019m being authentic. Then, adding the production after is the fun bit because there\u2019s always that song that is me and my musical identity. It\u2019s definitely emotional – it\u2019s so cool having a second album out there!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          So, what can fans expect next after \u2018Waiting For the World To Turn\u2019 and Will Young Tour?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Well I\u2019m going to enjoy Christmas with my family and then I\u2019m working on new content for singles off the album and also new material and a tour!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
