Channelling the laid back style of Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley, and Kenny Chesney, Kelsey and Lisa are two great artists who’ve come together to make even better music together. We spoke with them about their musical partnership, their single, ‘Takin’ It Easy<\/a>‘, and what’s ahead of them.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

What message or sensation were you aiming to convey through ‘Takin’ It Easy’?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get away with that special person enjoy life in a warm tropical place and leave your cares behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What inspired the visual storytelling for <\/strong>‘Takin’ It Easy’?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song is about being in a warm tropical place and being carefree. So we knew right away Key West would be an ideal place for the shoot. All we had to do next was what we do best, take the trip down and have fun! The sun, ocean, sand, and boats\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Did any unexpected challenges or highlights arise during the production process?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, the video shoot went very smoothly. The director Fabian and his team were great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What techniques or visuals did you use to convey the energy of ‘Takin’ It Easy’?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The energy in the video is nothing more than our true love for the tropics and having fun by the sea! That\u2019s our favourite environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you approach the creative process when crafting songs and conceptualizing music videos?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We base it on real-life experiences that we encounter along the way. We try to capture those moments and share the story in 3 minutes of a song. The video gives us the visual, so we put an emphasis on being sure the storyboard delivers the same message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What benchmarks or achievements hold the most significance to you in your artistic journey?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we first put the duo Kelsey and Lisa together, recording and finishing our debut EP , and the release of our first single.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you plan to continue exploring similar themes or venture into new artistic territories?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We plan to continue creating the same great music that has that island vibe but will also do some music that\u2019s a little more country as we move forward. Just great music with great messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
