Hey Allegra, how has your 2024 been so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, I\u2019ve released two singles already and two videos which has just been incredible. And now I\u2019m just happy to say that I am getting ready to release my first ever EP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you originally get into music?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always been singing and dancing since I can remember my mother always said I was the theatrical kid in the family. I loved putting on shows for my parents and my aunt and uncle with my cousin, being in the school theatres and singing and I\u2019ve just always had music around me. So I guess that\u2019s kind of how I got into it and it all began from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you currently listening to?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m listening to a lot of Raye right now. I just love how different her sound is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you give us a glimpse into the recording process of your new single \u2018Strangers,\u2019 and what you learned from the experience?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was going through a difficult and unique break up with my ex and so therefore there was a lot of emotions because of that. I had to channel all of that and put it into strangers and that\u2019s how the song came out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In what ways has working on your upcoming EP \u2018Unsent Love Letters Vol.1\u2019 helped define your style and develop as an artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you may know, I\u2019ve been known for releasing a lot of dance tracks and because of that I wanted to step away slightly with this EPN show different side to me as an artist. So I had to really think what do I want to put out there to introduce a new Allegra.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve collaborated with renowned DJs, scoring the top spot on the Music Pop Week Commercial Charts with Tiesto\u2019s remix of \u2018Round and Round\u2019. Does \u2018Unsent Love Letters Vol.1\u2019 marks a departure from your dance hits and the beginning of a new era? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Definitely, this is slightly a step away from all that – and that\u2019s not me saying that I didn\u2019t enjoy it, I am so lucky to have worked with such incredible DJs around the world. I just wanted to do something independently for me and introduce myself as a different artist. I want my fans to hear something new and different, and this is what I\u2019m trying to do with my EP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who were your key musical influences for \u2018Unsent Love Letters Vol.1\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artists like Griff, Raye, Mimi Webb and Dua Lipa. I’ve been working on this EP now for over a year so there was a lot of influences that I listen to, but these are the artist that I mostly looked up to in terms of creating this EP. I thought it was also important to find my own sound as an artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was the original idea behind the EP? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wanted each track to be an unsent love letter to an ex where you just want to get all your emotions out, and everything you wish you could say. This is what each song is, and it\u2019s the stages of a break up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you hope \u2018Unsent Love Letters Vol.1\u2019 will resonate with listeners? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just really wanted it to feel like a story. It\u2019s not just tracks being put together to make up an EP. I wanted it to be a storyline with different emotions that you feel through a break up, and I hope my fans will resonate with that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
