What life events inspired you to write a song based on the message in ‘Doomscroll’?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    ‘Doomscroll’ was born from a moment of self-reflection on the time I spend on my phone, particularly the anxiety that comes from endlessly scrolling through negative news and media. Earlier this year, I found myself mentally consumed by a troubling article I had read online. But as I was driving down I-35, a near-miss with another car snapping me out of my rumination. The experience was a stark reminder of life\u2019s fragility and how easily we become disconnected from the physical world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What parts of your own personality and outlook on life are found in ‘Doomscroll’?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Despite its apocalyptic and heavy tone, \u2018Doomscroll\u2019 is a high-energy, danceable track that reflects my generally curious outlook on life. The musicality in \u2018Doomscroll\u2019 is diverse, blending fast, electronic-inspired instrumentation with virtuosic solos, mirroring the wide range of emotions I often experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      What do you hope your audience takes away from the ‘Doomscroll’ song and video?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        I hope ‘Doomscroll’ resonates with listeners, reminding them that we’re all trying to find balance between our digital and physical lives. I want it to inspire connection, encouraging people to reach out to others and feel less alone. I also hope the video sparks creativity and motivates more dystopian sci-fi art!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        What part of music production for the ‘Doomscroll’ music video was the most fun? Most challenging?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          My favorite part of producing \u2018Doomscroll\u2019 was integrating the electronic elements into the track. I combined EDM drum and bass grooves with South Indian folk percussion, which really energized the song. With so many intricate layers, mixing and mastering were challenging to handle alone. So, I sent \u2018Doomscroll\u2019 to my go-to audio engineer, Russell Hollar, who also mixed my previous single, \u2018World On Fire\u2019. I\u2019m very glad I did, because he always nails the mix! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          What is the earliest memory you have of getting into music?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Growing up, I was surrounded by music thanks to my parents, who are both avid listeners, and my mom, a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. My first official music experience was in school choir, where I participated from 2nd to 5th grade. My choir teacher, Mr. Boniface, introduced us to non-traditional choir music, including songs by The Beatles, Eagles, and Rolling Stones, along with other classic rock hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            What is your next goal for your career as a musical artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              My primary goal right now is to release my debut full-length album. While I\u2019ve previously focused on singles, this album will showcase a wider range of musical styles. Alongside the album release, I plan to launch my live band for Bhloom and book shows both regionally and nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              What would you tell young, aspiring musical artists looking for advice?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Stay consistent and practice patience. Pursuing a music career requires a lot of time and effort, especially in today\u2019s industry where artists often juggle multiple roles. I\u2019ve learned to be disciplined with time management and to prioritize music. On days when I\u2019m not motivated to practice or write, I switch to creating social media content or brainstorming marketing ideas to stay engaged with my craft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Do you plan to continue exploring similar themes or venture into new artistic territories?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  In the future, I plan to collaborate with more vocalists and build upon the sound I developed with my last single, \u201cDoomscroll.\u201d While my previous music has been instrumental with a focus on guitar, I aim to expand my sonic palette in future releases. I want to incorporate influences from Indian, electronic, and cinematic music to create a richer, more diverse sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
