While they have a name that sounds like an old time music hall performer, Mrs. Henry is anything but that. A six piece group out of the San Diego underground scene, Mrs. Henry bring joy and happiness with their music, no less so than with latest release, ‘Everybody Wants Peace And Love’.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The music video, directed by Edwin FrankO, is a beautiful homage to San Diego and her denizens. We see Carlos Quentin, the big, genial slugger, who anchored the Padres lineup last decade, swinging his bat with his relaxed strength and easygoing personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also see Josh Rowe, the skateboard wizard; Hilary Doneux, the longtime midday DJ on local radio station, 91X; Bryan Barbarin, best known as the frontman of Steam Powered Giraffe; as well as street dancers, beer brewers, bartenders, photographers, graffiti artists, surfers and so on – all those who go into making San Diego the thriving and welcoming city it is. In fact, it’s San Diego that’s the real star of this sun-drenched, gorgeous clip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Everybody Wants Peace And Love’ with its irresistible funk groove, upbeat instrumentals, and shouted chorus that invites the listener to join in, is infectious in its optimism and positivity, and reflects that of the band as well. The video is a whirlwind tour of the city, showing just why San Diego is one of the most dynamic places in all of the USA. We take stops at Northern Pine Brewing, in its location close to the Pacific Ocean, Seven Grand, a lounge in North Park, plus a load of parks, sidewalks, and underpasses, where break dancers and aerosol sprayers take the opportunity to share their creativity. It’s a stunning showcase for a stunning town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
