The absolute powerhouse that is Michael V. Doane shows us why he has such a devoted fanbase with his inspirational new track and video, ‘LET’S GO!’. The upbeat track has a fun country vibe while at the same time bringing the very welcome message that if we follow our dreams we’ll lift up not just ourselves, but those around us as well.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Doane has followed every opportunity he’s been presented with in his career, and in so doing he’s managed to expand into every aspect of the entertainment industry – not just making music. He’s a producer, and co-founder of his own label, Bullet Records, which has gone on to work with artists all over the world. He’s the artistic director of the Flatiron Theater Company, in New York City, where he teaches acting, as well as serves as the head of a number of critically-acclaimed revivals. Additionally, he’s written several award-winning screenplays, including, ‘Wide Awake In Dreamland’, and he’s performed in the film, ‘The Marc Pease Experience’, as well as composed music for a wide variety of TV shows. On top of all this, he’s a full-time parent of 5 year old twins, bringing his family life into his music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doane’s new single, ‘LET’S GO!’ is a pep talk and a half, rallying us all to take the bull by the horns and tackle our day full pelt. Delivered with a country-rock ensemble, and providing his own backing vocals, ‘LET’S GO!’ is full of fire and passion, with both electric and acoustic guitars, as well as a rousing beat, capturing the experience of setting out on an adventure, where pleasure is found in the very simplest of things, whether it be sleeping in the back of a car when there’s no hotel vacancies, or having a quick swim in a nearby lake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably the greatest takeaway from this song is that adventure isn’t just reserved for the young – it’s for the young at heart as well. If we’re older, and have to take things slow, we can nonetheless still do it with the energy of our youth – it just might take a little longer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>Of course, given his penchant for being a one stop shop, Doane has directed the music video for ‘LET’S GO!’ himself. The clip follows the journey of an older couple, exploring the world, and enjoying the time they’re having together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way, they find out that their time together is limited, by the woman’s sickness, but they don’t let that stop them making memories and taking an adventurous approach to life, right down to the last day<\/span>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the while, they’re accompanied by their portable radio, which becomes all the more poignant when we see the man holding it tightly to him; a symbol of what brought the couple together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The storyline is interspersed with clips of Doane and his band, further linking his real world experiences, as the couple serves as a representation of his long career, and symbolising looking forward to the next adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
