‘Golden Glass’, the new single from Oxnard’s Pure Order, sees them join forces with Abstract Rude, another rapper whose worldview, talent, and dedication to alternative rap lines up perfectly with their own. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Abstract Rude is perhaps one of the most celebrated figures in the history of Southern California hip-hop, a vocalist who’s always led with creativity and verbal daring. One of the original MCs of Project Blowed, Abstract Rude’s roots in Californian rap go about as deep as anybody’s could. His sound remains timeless, and his ability to edit his flow and subject matter to highlight those of his collaborators, sees him shine brightly as it ever did on ‘Golden Glass’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pure Order, comprising God’s Gift and Nemesis, as always are rhyming with the cleverness and confidence that is their signature style. ‘Golden Glass’ sees them calling out those abusers of power, the megalomaniacs and elitists who have been placed or found their way into positions of power. While they remain politically neutral, it’s not hard to see ‘Golden Glass’ as being especially pertinent in an election year. The video which accompanies the track provides an underscore, with the rappers maintaining a calm, and resolute righteousness; sharing both the spotlight and the microphone between them, remaining serene despite serious subject matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
