Released on International Women’s Day, March 8, ‘Woman Of The Day’ is the new single from iconic artist, Meg Pfeiffer. The empowering anthem is a teaser from her upcoming sixth album, which is set for release later this year.<\/strong><\/p><\/h4>\n\n\n\n With ‘Woman Of The Day’ Meg has written a song about the strength and femininity of women. While it’s a positive track, Meg has deliberately chosen not to sound too happy, but rather focus on the tenacity and power of womanhood, lending the track an anthemic feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meg says she was interested in,<\/p>\n\n\n\n “the fascinating feminine energy and how women might approach certain situations in life differently than men.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Originally from Germany but now based in Nashville, Meg was all hands on deck for ‘Woman Of The Day’, writing, arranging, recording, producing, and pre-mixing the track in its entirety. Speaking of the process, she says,<\/p>\n\n\n\n ‘<\/span>For the final mix and master, I asked my long-term music partner and friend, the sound engineer Matt Fischer, to finalize them. My husband, Luca Stricagnoli, also a musician, shot the cover photo. There are only three people on my team, and I like it that way because it gives the working process a trustworthy vibe and creates a comfort zone.’\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Set against a pulsating percussive beat and synth rhythms, Meg’s vocals are reminiscent of other strong female artists, such as Alanis Morissette, and are ethereal yet losing nothing of their power. She sings of the issues affecting women, such as being overlooked for achievements, giving while everybody takes away – despite, for example, statistics showing we live longer than men – suggesting that our time will come, and we will be the woman of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ‘Woman Of The Day’ is out now and is available to stream and download here<\/a>.
