Secret Wish, comprising Kurt Vervaet and Heidi Pintens, are an electronic duo hailing from Belgium, and the pair really know how to captivate club-goers with their pulsating beats and rhythms. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Secret Wish’s single, ‘Voodoo Nights’, comes with a stunning Anime video, crafted by one of the many talented editors at Team Ayakashi, and it perfectly captures the raw emotion of the track. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kurt Vervaet is a lifelong musician, having attended music school as a young boy, and then at the age of 17 moving into the club scene as a DJ. Starting to write music in 2000, he began Secret Wish 7 years later, and was joined by Heidi, a talented musician and vocalist, who had previously played in several cover bands before Secret Wish. Together, their sound is instantly recognisable, with its high energy beats and mesmerising vocals, fusing electronic sounds with pop. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citing contemporary artists such as Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, and Dave Guetta as among their biggest influences, nonetheless Secret Wish also give great credit to local Belgian guitar legend, Erik Van Biesen, from the band Gorki. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s always been Secret Wish’s aim to expand their audience beyond Belgium, and as such they’ve found airtime across Europe and Asia, where they’ve charted (DDK and Cool Cuts), and also been nominated for MMA and HDT awards, in house, dance, and trance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Co-written by Kurt, alongside Eddy Vandenameele, ‘Voodoo Nights’ is high energy and features Heidi’s hypnotic vocals. The track takes its inspiration from Kurt’s time as a DJ, and fully captures the allure of the nightlife. Heidi paints a sound picture of the club, showcasing it as a magical place, where you allow yourself to surrender as the music takes control. There’s an irresistible blend of genres, including EDM and Pop, and it’s certainly worth listening to a few times, in order to fully appreciate the sound meld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accompanying music video for ‘Voodoo Nights’, created by one of the very talented members of video editing company, Team Ayakashi, is an anime which mirrors the passion of the song. The viewer follows the story of a love triangle, and the characters navigate their way through it, gradually becoming more intimate with one another. It’s a great interpretation of the track’s message, which is to let the music take over, and to give in to wherever it leads you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
