Duprai Marcel is an artist who has literally grown up with music all around him. From his mother’s choral arrangements when he was a young boy, to the R&B classics he listened to on his cassette player. He loved music of all styles, genres, and backgrounds, and it was this which go him into writing his own. Now, with his single, ‘BUCKSHOTS’, Duprai gives us what feels like classic R&B, as if it was a newly discovered track by someone like, Rick James, or Little Richard, for example. It might be 2024, but Duprai takes us back to the 70s and 80s, keeping those decades alive with his incredible sound.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

‘BUCKSHOTS’ sees Duprai Marcel express the idea that actually knowing who you are is just the first step in living your true life. The most important thing, according to Duprai, is confidence, and so far as he’s concerned, if someone doesn’t agree with who he is, then he’ll just move on, holding his head high. On the other hand, if someone is a fan, then welcome! He has no energy for timewasters, and won’t entertain them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘BUCKSHOTS’ opens on an old time TV, screening a countdown to a red carpet premiere, with title credits scrolling past, introducing us to Duprai. From there the song begins, with the artist dressed in the most funktastic clothing, reminiscent of Prince. He’s the most popular show on TV, with shots of people watching him on their screens, bringing them back to the good old days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
