Jor’Dan Armstrong is here with a powerful message with his new single, ‘MIA’. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A chart-topping writer and singer of faith-driven popular music, Jor’Dan Armstrong is also an expert when it comes to church girls, and he knows that they’re not stuffy and buttoned down, but rather they enjoy a good time as much as anyone else. They’re moved to sing and dance – and Jor’Dan Armstrong is there ready to provide the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘MIA’ comes from his latest EP, ‘Girls Trip’, which is itself part of a larger project of three EPs, and it’s an uplifting track that is also a certified dance number at the same time. It follows on from Armstrong’s previous singles, ‘My God’, and ‘Call’ – the latter a collaboration with Erica Campbell – and shows that he’s not just the future of Gospel music, but he’s also a pop evangelist, as he brings together artists of different perspectives, and blends the ideas they share into a glorious whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘MIA’ sees Louisiana-born Jor’Dan join forces with the Stellar Award winning 1K Phew (out of Atlanta), whose speciality is Christian hip-hop, while Jor’Dan’s is gospel-infused R&B. Together they’re rooted in the church musical traditions of the South. Armstrong deftly sings the first verse, and Phew takes over, propulsively rapping the second. They balance each other out, not just musically, but also in their devotion to their Lord and to having a good time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘MIA’ sees Jor’Dan in the role of a celebrity chef, ruling over the kitchen in a well-appointed home, while 1K Phew is a guru, sitting cross-legged in the lounge room, about to take the the viewer through a guided meditation. Three girls join them, but they’re not dressed for church: instead they’re there to have fun, and enjoy being with their friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
