Founded in 2019 in Aspen, Colorado, by Greg Simmons and Bo Persiko, Staunch Moderates is a musical conglomerate whose aim is to unite down-to-earth people from across the political spectrum, for everything from rational conversation, right through to rock n roll. Their musical style likewise holds no barriers, with their sound bringing in elements of funk, jazz, hip-hop, spoken word, and much more. They create art, as much as anything else.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

From their latest album, ‘2023’, their new track, ‘Rolling Stone’ is Staunch Moderates’ tribute to the magazine of the same name. With the instrumentals, notably soaring guitars over a pounding drum beat, collaborating rapper Shorty Mack takes us on a trip through the history of Rolling Stone Magazine, from their earliest days with The Beatles to nowadays and the digital age. Greg Simmons interjects every so often with his own words of wisdom, and the end result is an informative and very catchy track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘Rolling Stone’, likewise takes us on a journey through time, transporting us via a virtual time machine from decade to decade, backwards and forwards, until it all finally merges in music. Simmons is seen in the studio, sometimes joined by Staunch Moderates Yeti-esque mascot, DJ Staunch, to ground us in the present time, before we are once again returned to the back and forth timeline.
