Once more proving that talented artists will never be slowed down, Flau’jae returns with her latest single, ‘Karma’, featuring another talent, 2Rare. Flau’jae, who originally made her name on the basketball court, has shown in no uncertain terms that her skills and abilities know no bounds, and behind the mic, there’s none that can touch her.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Still only 19, Flau’jae is a star player and leader on the Louisiana State women’s basketball team, as well as an artist with a growing list of tracks to her name. Her exemplary skills are evident on ‘Karma’, her new single, and just like those releases that have gone before, she shows off plenty of tenacity, dexterity, verve, irrepressibility, intelligence , and composure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With ‘Karma’, Flau’jae’s delivery is fierce and emotive, with a pure Dirty South vibe and a beat that owes plenty to European club music, along with the trap sound of her native Georgia. She’s joined on ‘Karma’ by Philadelphia’s 2Rare, an emcee who has also come up the path of athlete turned musician, and he matches Flau’jae verse for verse, with each bar and witticism holding its own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Karma’ is upbeat and compelling from the first beat, and the accompanying music video beautifully supports this. Colourful and energetic, the clip is shot in a warehouse, and with the help of lasers and a dance crew, it’s transformed into an impromptu nightclub, albeit an unusual one, given there’s BMX riders doing tricks on the floor. All in all though, it’s an atmosphere that makes it feel as though everyone’s welcome, and with the booming drum and bass beat of ‘Karma’, we defy anyone to not want to get on the floor and start dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
