For a band called The Dwarves, and whose history includes the hoax death of a band member, self mutilation, hard drugs, and sex on stage, there doesn’t seem to be many things they won’t do – on a dare or otherwise. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bearing all this in mind, it’s no wonder ‘Will We Dare’ feels like an in your face confrontation, standing to those that would threaten free thinking, whether that be political, social, or emotional. Released on October 6, ahead of their album set for release next month, the track is accompanied by an upbeat video featuring judges, Disney-like characters, and “Barbie” having lunch with “Ken”, the latter of whom is wearing a gimp mask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With upbeat rockabilly drum rhythms, that are catchy enough by themselves, ‘We Will Dare’ gets along at a rollicking pace, and, in the words of the band themselves,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Dwarves have been getting cancelled since the 1980\u2019s, so we wrote a 90\u2019s pop punk song about it and made a video starring a female singer born in the 2000\u2019s and a snowboarder from Jackass who\u2019s on strike in 2023. What could possibly go wrong…”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Comprising Rex Everything, The Fresh Prince of Darkness, Snupac, Andy Now, Black Josh Freese, Sgt. Saltpeter & Blag Jesus, The Dwarves welcome Madd Lucas on vocals for ‘We Will Dare’, who is joined by Danger Ehren of Jackass, and The Dwarves themselves in the video. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘We Will Dare’ is a guaranteed fun ride, with both vocals and instruments on fire right out of the gate. For those of us who may not have encountered The Dwarves and their music before, as well as their long standing fans, it’s a fun romp, and a reminder that music is a broach church, and there’s something for everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
