Released on July 13, ‘No Love For The Long Distance’ is the 11 track debut album from singer songwriter, Bea Kadri.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bea Kadri is a Lebanese artist, based in Dubai. Her debut single, ‘Cloud 9’, was released in 2018, and she has been steadily releasing music ever since. With her debut long player, she took inspiration from her own experiences of a five year long distance relationship, which saw her experience a rollercoaster of emotions. Bea’s versatile songwriting talent and evocative vocals take the listener on a similar, very relatable journey, from the sweet happiness at the start, to the sad demise of the relationship, and finally to liberation, where she is able to take control of her life once more. Additionally the album serves as a debut for Bea’s foray into Arabic singing and songwriting, with tracks such as, ‘Ruthless Ma Ber7am’, and ‘Liberated’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inception of the album began during the Covid 19 quarantine, a time during which Bea’s long distance relationship faced its greatest challenges to save. She handled this by throwing herself into collaborations online with producers and artists whose physical locations were scattered all over the world – as far apart as Los Angeles, Stockholm, Dubai, Beirut, and London, among others. Even so, some of the tracks on the album retain the raw vocal takes recorded in her home studio, adding to the overall emotion of the recording.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Track 7, ‘Come Over’, an R&B track with pop sensibilities, is the focal song of the album, and describes a moment of wishful thinking after the break up, when Bea wanted only to remember the good – while at the same time contemplating getting back together once more – not for the first time. She manages to overcome these emotions, and with new found strength and determination, she instead pursues her path to independence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Come Over’ is one of four songs on the album which have been paired with official music videos, and was officially released on the same day as the album, while the other three, ‘Outpour’, Poison’, and ‘Unconventional (Hell Yeah)’, area already on Bea’s YouTube channel. The remaining 7 songs all have strong conceptual visualisers, reflecting the various phases of the album’s storyline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
