Lee Oskar is an internationally renowned harmonica virtuoso, and is best known for co-writing and performing the melodies of such tracks as. ‘Low Rider’ and ‘Cisco Kid’, alongside the likes of Kesha, Pitbull, and many others. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Outside of the harmonica, Lee Oskar is an accomplished producer, composer, businessman, visual artist, and musical explorer, who moved to New York City from his homeland of Denmark when he was 18. Once he arrived in the Big Apple, he built up his life based on his talent at playing harmonica – despite not at the time being able to speak a word of English – and turning his feelings and his inner emotions and observations into song. Lee Oskar’s upcoming album, ‘She Said Mahalo’, is out this Friday, September 15, and leading up to the release is his new single, ‘Funky Rhetoric’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A funk-pop track, Lee Oskar plays his glorious melodies over a bluesy groove, compelling all who listen to get up and dance – it’s impossible to resist. There’s no lyrics, but the tune doesn’t need any, it’s as catchy and memorable as any song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The music video for ‘Funky Rhetoric’ has been directed by Lee’s long time collaborator, Dmitri Antos, and it cuts between scenes of the man and his band, and clips of modern strife and conflict. Antos adds captions which translate Oskar’s funky riffs into a poetic reflection on the state of the world, with the end result being that our salvation lies in music. The video ends with scenes of dancing children, natural wonders, and even an alien who’s bopping out to Lee Oskar and his band. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
