Earlier this month, on the 4th of August, English singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson announced the production of his newest album, titled \u2018Little Weaknesses\u2019, along with the release of its first single, \u2018Napoleon Dynamite\u2019. His first new work since the COVID-19 pandemic and the birth of his son, \u2018Little Weaknesses\u2019 is a brilliant fourteen-track journey into the joys and difficulties of fatherhood and recording music.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Although best known for his 2015 self-titled album that topped the UK charts, Jamie Lawson has much more history from before that album\u2019s release. His first songs were released onto the music sharing website mp3.com in the late 90s, with one song in particular, \u2018Fussy\u2019, getting playtime on Louisiana State University\u2019s student-run radio station, KLSU. After 2 album releases in 2003 and 2010, Jamie finally got his big break when the title track off his 2011 album, \u2018Wasn\u2019t Expecting That\u2019, received major airplay on Irish radio station Today FM, and soon peaked at #3 on the Irish singles chart. Since then, he has only been on his way up, with his aforementioned self-titled album receiving major commercial success, with over a hundred thousand sales. However, in 2020, due to a combination of multiple factors, Lawson had to step away from the industry for some time – now, in 2023, he makes his big return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now a new man, and experienced with fatherhood, Lawson\u2019s style has completely evolved, and his latest song, \u2018Napoleon Dynamite\u2019, is held much closer to his heart. The folk-Americana mix features Kentish singer-songwriter LAKY delivering a soulful lyrical performance, alongside a calming instrumental that emphasises what Lawson\u2019s life has been for the last few years – a peaceful, calm, normal life.
