The 400-page, 60,000-word book dives into all types of details, small or big, from before the band even formed up until their rise to global prominence and their 1980 Independence Day performance at the National Mall in Washington D.C. The band\u2019s rise from Hawthorne garage band to worldwide phenomenon is one of the main themes of the book, covering what happened during that rise to fame inside the group.
